Mental Health Tip of The Day: Go Back and Listen

Written by: Marquita Dorsey

They say what’s understood doesn’t have to be explained!πŸ’πŸΎβ€β™€οΈI see the concept but hear me out…

πŸ€” What if the person/people you were talking to actually don’t understand?
πŸ€”What if they were thinking one thing while you were saying another?
πŸ€”What if the delivery was challenging and they didn’t listen to anything at all?

Communication is both verbal and non-verbal! Speak Well

Mental Health Tip of The Day 2.0 Check for the Fruit

πŸ’š If it is the truth of a matter, it is OK to explain it
πŸ’šThe goal of communicating is to plant seeds (share information and actions) that will in turn, produce fruit(change)!! πŸŽπŸ‡πŸπŸ₯‘
πŸ’šIf you weren’t paying attention when they were speaking, go back and listen!

Mental Health in the African American Community has been misunderstood, misinformed, misdiagnosed, mismanaged, and simply dismissed for far too long!
πŸ—£We can talk about it!!

We need to see fruit of the TRUTH!!
🧠❀ I have a sound mind
βš”οΈ The weapon may form but it will not prosper
πŸ’ͺ🏾I am strong and courageous

πŸ™ŒπŸΎ Greater is the power of God that lives within me
πŸ† I win in the end

Go back and listen to the Replay (Facebook Live) of Mental Health Mondays, you will certainly learn something!πŸ’šπŸ’š
