Mental Health Tip of The Day: Take Time to Talk and Listen

If you’re on any social media and music streaming platform then you’ve heard this song!!

Though talking to her romantic partner about the “intentional” attention she is willing to give him, I wanted to encourage the masses to be as intentional with the understanding of mental health!

When a person is suffering or battling with their mental health, it can take hours and hours which could turn into years and years! It is not easy to literally feel pain you cannot point to!!

For clarity, “Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.” ~MentalHealth.gov

It’s Saturday, take time to SHARE life with yourself, family, and friends! You’ve given yourself to the building up of things that will deteriorate or at some point eliminate you! If and when that happens, at least you will have a community system to support you!
SN: You have to work so you can eat but it can’t always and only be about work!🙂

You don’t have to go at it alone, here are some tips:
💚Genuinely ask if they are OK
💚Talk about it when there is TIME so on one feels anxious and rushed
💚Let them know they are safe
💚Let them know that you care about them
💚EDUCATE yourself!! You can read about it all over the internet,  do it together if that helps
💚Have grace for the person suffering and yourself! These discussions are not easy but they are necessary!
